Ben is infatuated with light. As far back as he can remember, it's beauty, variety, and potential have inspired him to discover ways to master it. His natural passion for luminosity combined with a knack for pushing buttons and doing technical things lead him to the art of photography. Photography is art from light.
Ben's passion for the craft is fueled by a desire to master the balance of creative artistic expression, technical perfection, and psychology of interaction with his subjects.
When a person finds out Ben is a photographer, the first question is usually "What do you like taking pictures of?" And his answer to that is always people. The opportunity it affords to meet interesting and oftentimes incredible people is one of the things Ben loves most about portrait photography.
His goal is to create images depicting abundant energy, soul, & love which his clients are proud to share with their friends, family, colleagues, and even on the walls of their homes. For him, the greatest feeling of artistic accomplishment comes from seeing clients use and display the images.
Ben shoots primarily with Canon professional photography equipment. He loves to work with a mixture of both ambient(natural) light, as well as studio strobes and other interesting sources of light. Ben is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and is appropriately insured and licensed.
Ben was born and raised in Colorado .He currently resides in Lakewood, Colorado with his wife & photographic partner Suzie, alongside their two children and poodles. When Ben is not shooting, he's usually developing websites, playing music, hiking/running, attending live events, enjoying a craft beer, or being with friends.
